On 12th June 2013, Miss BB attended the official launch of the natural cosmetics brands Agese Oils at Unit 24 in London.
Agese Oils was founded by the Londonian Emma Agese.
Emma Agese came to the idea of Agese Oils in 2010 while watching ‘Good Hair’ (Chris Rock documentary). She thought about the potential dangers and environmental consequences of artificial chemicals in her day-to-day cosmetics and tried to find new alternatives. She did some research on natural ingredients and travelled to India where she learned about the natural beauty regime of Indian women. Emma created her own blends that appealed to the modern woman, inspired by these traditions. Her business was then created; the former Dragon’s Den Richard Farleigh even personally awarded her initative.
The brand is composed of three products for body, face and hair. All the ingredients are natural and smell divine.
This body oil is highly absorbent, non–irritant, non-sticky.
It is made of avocado and apricot oil, which are good for skin texture.
It contains argan oils and vitamine E which encourage skin regeneration
The result is immediate, Miss BB tried the skin silk on her skin and after 10 minutes her skin was not sticky nor oily and felt like silk!

This face oil contains lotus oil that hydrates the skin.
It can be used on all skin types (dry, oily, sensitive, acnea)
It also reduces dark spots, with a result being seen after only 30 days.
Jojoba oil (simmondsia chinensis), Apricot oil (prunus armeniaca), Lotus essential oil (nelumbo nucifera), Peppermint essential oil (mentha piperita) oil, Natural Vitamin E oil (tocopherol)
Miss BB was wondering how those beauty oils were adapted for black women, here’s what Emma said:
‘Each of the products are 100% natural which means they are delicate but at
the same time we have used very effective active ingredients in each of them
to make them packed full of vitamins.
Firstly I’m a black lady and I am my number one critique for the products I
make, face glow helps in getting rid of skin concerns, i.e. acne, and then
healing the skin to reduce pigmentation after. It was designed for the total
wellbeing of the face. So how it really works is that it seals in moisture
(best used when you have just washed your face and it is still damp), so
this then means dry skin is prevented and maintains the skins natural
elasticity which means the signs of ageing will be kept away for as long as
Hair gold, I chopped off my entire hair to go natural so this helped me in
maintaining a healthy growing pace. We infused Amla and Brahmi herbs in
organic coconut oil and Almond oil; we also combined them with specific
amounts of essential oils for healthy scalp and strengthened hair strands to
reduce breakage. I’m very pro heat (straightening and blow drying my hair),
so it also has helped in protecting my hair’
