Doria-Adoukè embodies the cosmopolitan generation. Born in France and of African origin, globetrotteuse, polyglot, who lived in different countries (Madagascar, Spain, United States and today United Kingdom).
She began her career working for luxury brands. Doria-Adoukè created her blog in 2009, with the desire to give beauty advice for afro-descendent women. Whether it is for hair, skin or make-up. One of the added values of this blog is the transmission, sharing ancestral beauty recipes from Africa. Cosmopolitan awarded her as the best beauty blog in 2010.
The second singularity of Black and Beautiful, is her humorous comic series “The Adventures of Miss BB”, which recounts the ups and downs of an Afro-descendent French young woman.
Doria-Adoukè has been enriching her blog with articles with more cultural and historical angles, always on black beauty. Based in London for 5 years, she has hosted a fashion and beauty segment for VoxAfrica morning show: Barao Afrika.
