What is transitioning hair?

Here is a brief introduction to transitioning hair, a theme I will develop further.

When one stops to relax hair, this is what is called transitioning.
Transitioning hair is the coexistence of two textures, the root that is coarse and the relaxed part.

At the beginning of the transition, the coarse hair is kinky as it resents cohabitation with the relaxed part.

Moreover, hair is difficult to disentangle because the comb will cross the two textures.
From a certain level of regrowth, the frizzy hair becomes softer. This can take around 5-6 months depending on hair texture.

So if you are in transition do not be discouraged.
